Second Chance Hero by Jeannie Moon

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5

Kim and Owen’s love story in Second Chance Hero by Jeannie Moon, book four in her Forever Love series, was an amazing story between two damaged souls who take a chance on love. You might want to keep tissues nearby while reading. From the first page I was hooked. The prologue sets the scene for how emotional this story is. While working as an RN in a combat hospital in Afghanistan, Kim's fiancΓ© died right in front of her. A couple minutes after that, she discovers he has been keeping a secret from her. Devastated, Kim can't cope with being a trauma nurse, returns home, and closes herself down for a year. Owen was also in Afghanistan, a marine, in charge of the company Kim's fiancΓ© was in. The last person Owen expects to meet once he’s back home is Kim, whom he met in the hospital but she does not remember. He keeps this a secret from Kim.

The passion between these two hurting souls is evident, and it is clear from the start they deserve one another. At times, Owen can be too hard on himself. Kim is scared, especially, after the tragedy that stole everything from her. The last thing she wants is a relationship with another military guy. The chemistry and draw between Kim and Owen is off-the-charts and out of this world. Owen definitely will not give up on Kim, giving her the space, time, and love, to heal her hidden scars and hurts.

Ms. Moon wrote an amazing and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and strong characters giving Kim and Owen a chance at having a loving future together. I highly recommend Second Chance Hero to other readers.
