Image
💖💖💖💖💖 Bride for a Day by Carolyn Brown is a sweet story about a runaway who finds safety, a family who accepts her and falls in love. Cassie is on the run from the man you raised her the past few years, Cecil, when she discovered he sold her to a sex trafficking ring. Now Cecil has the police looking for her claiming she stole from him and is mentally unstable. When she gets cornered by the police she turns to a young man in a diner, pretending to be with him. Ted, a young country boy closed off emotionally after his twin brother died and struggling to move on, realizes what is going on and plays along with her. One thing leads to another and through a comedy of small town meddling, they end up married; temporarily, or so they think. While they wait to get an annulment Cassie stays with Ted and his family; helping him recover from his loss. Spending time with Ted’s family, Cassie starts putting down roots, and grows closer to them. It might have started out with Ted saving Cassi

Summer Nights with a Cowboy - Caitlin Crews

Image
💖💖💖💖💖 I totally loved Janie and Zack’s story in Summer Nights with a Cowboy by Caitlin Crews , book three in her Kittredge Ranch series, a story full of passion, sizzling tension, secrets and even a little suspense, surrounding the their families and Cold River history. I could not put down this story of a stern, grumpy sheriff and the new nurse in town who thinks he’s ridiculously hot, but tells him he needs to go to charm school to deal with his gruff attitude. And then actually goes through with it, tea parties and ballroom dancing and all. Cold River sheriff Zach Kittredge believes there is something not right about the town's newest resident, traveling hospice nurse Janie Atwood. Allegedly, Janie has moved in next door to Zach to act as a home health nurse for his aging neighbor, but he’s not buying that story; it’s a gut feeling despite evidence to the contrary. Janie does have hidden motives for moving to the small town of Cold River, but she is not ready to share

Pine Creek Marriage by Amity Hope

💖💖💖💖💖 Pine Creek Marriage by Amity Hope, book two in her Pine Creek series, tugs at your heart, holding you hostage until the very last page. This was a story I could not put down, reading it in one day. This book begins with Amelia and Samuel finding themselves in an interesting situation; one that is filled with suspicion, mistrust and some disapproval.   Amelia is a young widow who is living with an elderly family friend, Mary. Samuel, Mary’s nephew, along with his young “daughter”, Ruthie, come to live with Mary; upsetting the balance. Ruthie was adorable; adding depth and color to the story as she stole everyone heart.   Amelia and Samuel make an interesting couple; facing obstacles head on, with valuing the importance of rightfulness and family. It was interesting watching their romance blossom after they started out on the wrong foot. They had so many difficulties and emotions to overcome; yet overcome they did.   Ms. Hope wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story t

Kissing Games by Stefanie London

💋💋💋💋💋 Sloane and Ryan’s friends to lovers story in Kissing Games by Stefanie London, book two in her Kissing Creek series , was an amazing, sizzling, emotional and humorous tale. Ms. London is a definite go-to for small town reads; understanding the quirkiness of its residents. When the golden boy of Kissing Creek returns home to sulk after a baseball career-pausing injury, Ryan, he never anticipated the problem keeping him awake at night was the noises from his parents’ bedroom and the antics caused by the steamy book his mother was reading for her book club.  Deciding to complain to quirky librarian Sloane, these two have an unusual meeting between a trespassing llama, magnetic attraction, and off the charts chemistry. This caused an undeniable tension between them right off the bat, with underlying exchanges of sarcasm and irritation. Their banter was hysterical and entertaining even the stereotypes they had about each other; which they quickly set straight as they got clos
