Love on the Lake by Helena Hunting

Sunshine conquers grumpy or is it grumpy conquers sunshine in Love on the Lake by Helena Hunting, book two in her Lakeside series. Teagan Firestone moves to Pearl Lake hoping to discover who she is and wants her future to be. She immediately begins getting involved in the community, working numerous jobs, volunteering and quickly becomes irreplaceable; if not being more than she could handle. Encountering the brooding Aaron Saunders working on the apartment where she was going to stay was interesting. Teagan could not figure out why he disliked after meeting her. Undeterred, she was determined to get him to notice her. Teagan is incredibly strong and loyal woman. She has an incredibly big heart, loves to help others, is a true people pleaser who struggles to say “no” when asked to do something. She has problems and struggles that she believes are under control, until they aren’t. Aaron is loyal and incredible, dealing with his own problems and struggles. He might be a bit grumpy, but he is filled with so much love and kindness.  As Teagan struggles and her world falls apart, Aaron is there to support and do what he can; even if it means step back. The support Teagan has from her family is the main thing keeping her together and enabling her to truly finding herself. Once she rebuilds her confidence in herself, Teagan can trust being in a loving relationship with Aaron.

Ms. Hunting wrote an emotional, wonderful, heartwarming romance that kept me turning the pages, laughing out loud, getting teary-eyed as I followed the twist and turns of Teagan and Aaron’s relationship. She provided a tale rich with magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, supportive family, and charming characters giving Teagan and Aaron a chance to explore their love, happiness, and a future neither expected after the roller coaster of struggles Teagan endures. I highly recommend Love on the Lake to other readers.
