A Chance to Believe by Fiona Marsden

Image
πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– /5   A Chance to Believe by Fiona Marsden is a charming story about family and love, when an instant attraction evolves into something deeper and stronger; despite all their fears. Shayne is a single dad who is dedicated to his family and community. Cassie is reserved and wary after dealing with all the tragedy in her past. Arriving in Maidens Hill pregnant and cautious, Cassie believes she owes it Shayne to let him know about the consequences of the amazing time they spent together. Shayne, wary and concerned at first, slowly tackles tearing down Cassie’s protective walls; showing her how much he cared for her. The more time Cassie spends with Shayne, and his family, the more comfortable she feels with them; allowing cracks to form in her armor. An enjoyable story rich with friendship, attraction, chemistry, supportive community, and charming secondary characters, helping Shayne and Cassie find their way to a forever love.

Irresistible Love

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5   Noah and Lily’s opposites attract romance in Irresistible Love by Samantha Chase, book one in the Wylder Love series, is a sweet, humorous, and heartwarming story; a wonderful introduction to what promises to be an amazing series. Three years ago at a family Montgomery New Year’s Eve party, Noah Wylder and Lily Montgomery (Lucas and Emma's daughter) shared a scorching, midnight kiss and since then, neither has forgotten the other.   Noah is the older brother to Jax and Simon , a numbers guy who works with the Montgomerys; Lily’s family . After their father left, he was determined to keep his family secure; helping his brothers achieve their dreams and goals. Lily loves to dance, any type of dance: ballet, modern, Broadway, etc. and was trying out for a major sports team's dance squad when an injury sidelined her. Concerned about her future she decides to surprise her family with a visit. Lily is the one surprised as everyone, except her grandpa, is out of

The Friendship Club by Robyn Carr - An Uplifting Story

Image
πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– /5 The Friendship Club by Robyn Carr is a heartfelt and touching book focusing on friendships, family relations, domestic violence, mental health, and second chances. Though it might not sound uplifting, I could not stop reading this book, wanting to know more about each character. Ms Carr is a master at writing words to create the imagery and emotions her characters are dealing with.   Centering around four women from varied age groups, they discover that it is the power of friendship that helps them, and us, get through life's challenges. Marni, a fifty something celebrity chef, may finally be ready to renter the dating world after making some bad man choices. Bella, Marni’s daughter, is a smart and ambitious woman, about to have her own baby. Ellen, Marni’s coworker, feels past her prime but may also be ready for love again. Sophia, their young intern, finds herself in a bad relationship and after a scary experience and needs recovery time. All four of these

With You Forever by Chloe Liese

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– / 5 I enjoyed Rooney and Axel's story in With You Forever by Chloe Liese, book four in the Bergman Brothers series; a sweet, funny sizzling, forced proximity, marriage of convenience story set in the Bergman's A-frame in the woods.   Rooney and Axel's really liked each other, but both were distraught about how to approach it; leaving neither to acted on it. Rooney is invited to stay at the Bergman's A-frame but ends up staying with Axel. In order for Axel to access money left by a relative to fix up the family home he needs to be married. Asking Rooney to have a marriage of convenience with him was the best thing he could have done.   This romance was super sweet and gives both autism representation and chronic illness representation with the characters. The incorporation of their insecurities and seeing them grow toward each other is beautifully done.  I recommend With You Forever to other readers.   #berkley #netgalley

Love Naturally by Sophie Sullivan

Image
πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– /5 Love Naturally by Sophie Sullivan, is an enjoyable, emotional, small town, insta-love story. When Presley plans a vacation surprise for her boyfriend everything goes as wrong as possible; so she ends up at a fishing resort alone. She fully expects to feel sorry for herself, watching rom-coms and eating lots of chocolate, but finds that the family and guests at the resort are a true gift. Presley meets Beckett who is helping his brother and sister with this lodge. The connection between Presley and Beckett is sweet, electric, and develops quickly. Presley takes on things she has never done before and challenges herself, as she learns so much about herself along the way. The supporting characters are perfection, the town is a lot fun, and the setting provides the perfect balance to the story. I loved Beckett’s brother Greyson, sister Jill, and want to see them find love too. Then there’s Ollie his niece who is old beyond her years and adds depth, humor, so much more to t

The Amish Quiltmaker's Unlikely Match

Image
πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– /5 The Amish Quiltmaker's Unlikely Match by Jennifer Beckstrand is a sweet, emotional, and humorous story that had me laughing out loud. Mary Yoder isn’t interested in romance. At 28 years of age she’s considered to be an old maid by her Amish friends and family. Clay Markham crashes his car into her barn. Mary’s father insists that Clay fix the damage himself and not just write a check and soon Clay becomes a fixture in the Yoder household. A beautiful journey of love and healing develop between the shy Mary and the lost, depressed, and newly sober Clay. Though these two had absolutely nothing in common: she’s Amish and he’s an Englischer, she’s plain and he’s famous, she makes quilts and he’s a Major League Baseball pitcher, they found a way to connect as they both feel like they do not fit in or are worthy of love.   Ms Beckstrand adds another outstanding installment to a wonderful series; drawing me into the story making me feel as if I’m part of the story rather

The Bright Spot by Jill Shalvis

Image
πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– /5 The Bright Spot, book five in the Sunrise Cove series, once again wrote a heartwarming and humorous story, with the characters, that I connected to and fell in love with. This is a heartwarming story of family ties, both blood and found family, with a side of romance. Luna and Jameson along with a whole group of misfits who make up the community Luna has created at Apple Ridge Farm. Luna is the glue that keeps the entire farm together, taking care of employees, animals, the business; all while trying to keep afloat. When the owner of the farm dies, Luna inherits half of it. A finance manager from LA inherits the rest. And Luna learns that she has found her birth grandfather; only after he passed away. Luna is close to most of the employees at the farm, and fears sharing that she's now half owner, as she doesn't want to become the same kind of person Silas was. Jameson knew Silas since he was teen, is a numbers guy, and owns the other half of the farm. With a

Mine to Keep by Natasha Madison

Image

Grumpy Goalie by Delancey Stewart

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– /5 I loved Stefano and Hilary’s fake relationship in Grumpy Goalie by Delancey Stewart, book two in the Wilcox Wombat series; an opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine romance that was heartwarming, hilarious and steamy; full of lovable characters pulling at your heartstrings with all the emotions. Family is a major theme running throughout this story; reminding one that they can be our greatest source of strength, if only we’ll allow them.   Stephano Mizzoni, a professional hockey goalie, is facing the reality of his aging body and the possibility that his career is coming to an end. Hillary Watters, a med school dropout has become a free-spirited, live-in-the-moment soul, who roams from place to place as a professional house sitter. Stephano is hiding an injury from his hockey team and Hillary is hiding her sorrows from her friends and family. A chance encounter in Stephano’s hot tub, while Hillary is house sitting next door, brings them together; with enough sunshine a
