Love at First Book by Jenn McKinlay - A Fantastic Read

Image
💖💖💖💖💖 /5 I totally enjoyed Love at First Book by Jenn McKinlay, a heartwarming story about starting over. This story follows Emily moving to Ireland to work for her favorite author and help her with writer’s block; and also deal with the author’s broody son   Librarian Emily (Em) Allen needs to escape from her toxic life; a life with an absent father, emotionally abusive mother, trapped on a small-town island, and suffering from hypochondria due to the stress from her family issues. This is why she finds herself in Ireland, after writing a letter to the world-renowned Siobhan Riordan who inspired her and kept her sane during her earlier years. That letter forced her out of her comfort zone and provides her with an invitation to visit the author in Ireland with the possibility of helping as an assistant to her favorite author while working at a local bookstore. For the first time in life, Emily takes a chance, flies to Ireland and shows up at that small bookstore. What she didn&#

Love, Lies, and Cherry Pie by Jackie Lau

Image
💖💖💖💖 /5   Love, Lies, and Cherry Pie by Jackie Lau is an enjoyable story, full of drama, family expectations, humor, fake dating, and romance. Emily Hung, writer and barista, has been hearing a lot about Mark Chan. As the only unmarried daughter left in her Asian Canadian family, Emily is used to her mother matchmaking ways, but when her mother starts her matchmaking ways at her sister's wedding, things hit a new low. Mark is single, comes from a good family, has a good job, and just happens to be seated next to Emily at her sister's wedding. From their first meeting, there was an instant dislike between Emily and Mark. Her mother, however, is determined they'll get married which leads to fake dating starts; which surprisingly Mark goes along with it.   From fake cake decorating classes, to visiting tea boba shops, to dinners out, they seem to always run into family or friends who they must convince this is the real thing; that’s when the kissing starts. Smoke on the River by Harper Jackson

Image
💖💖💖💖💖 /5 I adored Hoyt and Caroline in Smoke on the River by Harper Jackson, an introduction to the Wayward Sons series; a romantic suspense that introduces the world of Hatterwick Island, in the NC Outer Banks, and the island folk, as well as all of the Rios and the other Wayward Sons. There are love stories, attempted murder, missing person, murder, and mayhem. There are many different characters, especially the Wayward Sons: brothers in every way except biological, who will get their own stories in future books. Caroline and Hoyt found they deserved not just love, but also the peace each other brought to their relationship, but despite all the obstacles, trials, and challenges placed in their way. The mysterious fires and threats within the story kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat and turning the pages right until the end.   Grab your copy!   Amazon: https://geni.us/waywardsons0amazon Apple: https://geni.us/waywardsons0apple Kobo: https://bit.ly/49RHLE0 B&N: http
