Just One Fling by Carly Phillips

Just One Fling, book eight in the Kingston Family series by Carly Phillips, is a story of Harrison Dare, who is a hot Hollywood actor, and Willow Capwell, who met Harrison while interviewing him and the rest of the K-Talent group. Hollywood’s sexiest playboy meets intelligent and beautiful journalist Winter Capwell, who interviewed him during one summer when she did a feature on the Dare brothers. These two ended up having a little summer fling while the interview was going on, but both agreed that neither was looking for anything more than that, going their separate ways. They then have another one-night stand after Nikki and Asher’s engagement party, but again, Willow left Harrison before he woke up. Now, these two find themselves back in each other's lives as Willow is pregnant and Harrison is trying to figure out how he feels. Winter had made good friends with Nikki and Derek, but eventually told them they were related to her. When she told the Senator he was her father, who knew nothing about her, his wife lost it. It was wonderful that Willow had found a family with Nikki and Derek since she had been alone with her mother all her life. That’s a lot of news and family interaction and it’s a huge change for an orphan who never had a family. When the news breaks that Winter is pregnant with Harrison’s child shortly after being revealed as Senator Bettencourt’s daughter, Winter becomes the target of a hate campaign; receiving threats. Harrison is more determined than ever to protect the woman he loves.

Hugely entertaining, spiced with a little suspense, steamy moments, family love, and a cute little Havanese dog named Panda, to whom everyone caters to. It was great to see Harrison step-up and realize that Willow is the “One” and that he is willing to go the extra mile to win her love. He is the rock Willow didn’t realize that she needed while she deals with a pregnancy, getting to know her new family, and learning more about who her dad really is. These two are perfect for each other and watching their love and respect for each other grow throughout the book was beautiful to read about.

Ms. Phillips once again wrote a wonderful, sizzling, emotional, and heartwarming story with a bit of intrigue that is not to be missed. A tale rich with chemistry, magnetic attraction, complicated family connections, clever banter, and charming secondary characters giving Winter and Harrison a chance for happiness, love and a future together. I highly recommend Just One Fling to other readers and look forward to Zach’s story.
