The Accidental Newlywed Game by Jaci Burton

4.5/5 The Accidental Newlywed Game by Jaci Burton, book three in her Boots and Bouquets series is an enjoyable story of two people who have been friends forever, only to discover after a night neither recollects that they are married. Honor Bellini is a wedding planner, attending a convention at in Vegas, when she encounters her sister’s ex-fiancΓ© Owen Stone, who is also there on business. After having a drink together they begin to get closer until they find themselves waking up in a hotel room together with no recollection of what happened the night before. The only clue is the wedding certificate that states that they are married. Honor has a bit of a reputation for being averse to romantic entanglements, so the fact that she manages to end up married to her older sister's ex-fiancΓ© might be unexpected except for how much tequila they drank and that they had been friends for a long time. Owen ran from his initial wedding due to a devastating cancer diagnosis, and has since been welcomed back into the Bellini friendship fold; not like he was before, but with a little distance still being maintained. He is not sure how his recent unplanned marriage to Honor is going to play out, but it doesn't seem like it will be good. From the moment they wake up together, they know things are going to be really complicated. Deciding to keep the marriage a secret becomes difficult; especially since Owen is quite friendly with the guys involved with Honor’s sisters. The one thing Honor and Owen share is off-the-charts chemistry that sizzles and sparks whenever they are near each other. Honor and Owen will need to decide if they are staying married or divorcing before the family discovers their secret and they begin hurting people close to them. Owen and Honor are perfect for each other.

Ms. Burton wrote a wonderful lovely, thought-provoking romance that is a must read.  She provided a tale filled with sizzling chemistry, strong attraction, family dynamics, amusing banter, and caring secondary characters, as Honor and Owen find love and a future together. I highly recommend The Accidental Newlywed Game to other readers.
