Defiant Heart by Brighton Walsh

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Defiant Heart by Brighton Walsh, book one in the Starlight Cove series was a grumpy/sunshine romance between a small-town cop and a visiting tree hugging yoga instructor. Sheriff Brady of Starlight Cove loves his town. He loves his brothers and sister and the seaside resort they inherited which is their livelihood. But he’s sworn off women and ever falling in love, as loving someone has only brought him heartache in the past. Luna is a free spirit, traveling where her heart takes her. He’s all rules and structure. She’s a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants adventurers. She protests what she believes in and he arrests her. She chained herself to a tree; more than once. She drives the sheriff crazy with her antics. Yet, Brady cannot understand why he’s drawn to this woman. These opposites definitely attract and frustrate each other; making things so much hotter. When Brady becomes protective of Luna, their chemistry and magnetism is off the charts and sizzling.

Ms. Walsh wrote an emotional, amazing, burn the sheets, humorous romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and endearing characters giving Brady and Luna a chance at love, and a future together. I highly recommend Defiant Heart to other readers, and I look forward to the next book in this series; hoping it’s about one of Brady’s siblings.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
