Dancing in the Dark by Tawdra Kandle

 πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5

Dancing in the Dark by Tawdra Kandle is a wonderful friends to lovers, second chance romance. Peyton Rivers and Nash Sampson were friends in high school, but life, and a narcissistic boyfriend, threw a major wrench in Peyton’s plans. Though Nash steps up, offering her a way to salvage her future, Peyton left town and him, as she needed to think about herself and her pregnancy. It was difficult her as well to leave him behind, but she was not able to take on the responsibility of Nash’s feelings, too. The truth was she had loved him too. Now thirty-five years later they both attend their high school reunion, rekindle their friendship, and discover that their feelings for each other are still there. Neither want the weekend to be a one-time thing, but there are a number of problems they will need to overcome before they get their happy ending. They both have real lives, but with the sizzling chemistry that sparks, Nash is not giving up this time. This story is full of love, second chances, forgiveness and lots of eighties music. I enjoy reading older romance characters and this brings back memories of the 80's. It might also set the stage for a possible romance with the next generation too.
