Her Secret Rogue by Cynthia Wright - Survival of the Fittest, Romance Style

 πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5

Her Secret Rogue by Cynthia Wright, book three in the Rakes and Rebels: The St. Briac Family series, does not disappoint; captivating from the very beginning as Anthony St. Briac and Freddie Redford are thrown together due to nefarious reasons. This is a story of a feisty female and a rakish Lord, neither wanting to marry for different reasons, but finding it difficult to keep their hands off each other. Frederica Redfield, a beauty with a brain, who has been fighting her father her whole life and honing her trust issues. Determined not to be married off by her father, she escapes into a romantic encounter with a man who once captured her heart, the dashing and intense Anthony St. Briac. Freddie's attempts to resist the tug of love, aligns perfectly with Anthony's reappearance into London society after a voyage with his friend, Charles Darwin; after fighting his way back to the land of the living. Ms. Wright weaves a story that has every element needed to keep turning the pages: adventure, intrigue, the perfect touches of comedy, and of course the spectacular romance and sizzle she's known for. Familiar and beloved characters from her past novels make their appearances, but Her Secret Rogue is a wonderful read, especially if this book is your introduction into her world. I have been reading and re-reading Ms. Wright’s books since they first appeared, almost fifty years ago, and once again she did disappoint; writing a must read emotional, love story. I highly recommend Her Secret Rogue to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
