4.5/5 Along Came You by Claudia Burgoa, book three in her Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series, is a story of how consequences from a night of passion affects the future for two people, needing to  conquer their pasts before they are able to accept their fate for the future.

When Fern Spearman and Elliot McPhee first meet, there is an instant attraction but neither is looking for a relationship. Elliot has suffered devastating losses, heartbreak and trauma; wholeheartedly believing that he is undeserving of love, a relationship or a family of his own. He might be a billionaire but one would never know it since he travels around the world, donating his time and money to help build homes for less than fortunate people. He never stays in one place for longer than a few months at a time and he basically lives out of a back pack.
He believes his penance is to give back to others while making sure that his friends and family members are well taken care of. Fern is the oldest sister of the Spearman clan and a mother figure to her seven siblings. She loves her family dearly and unselfishly tends to her family’s needs, putting them before herself while she throws herself into the charitable foundation that she runs. Unfortunately, her view on love and relationships is a bit jaded as well. When Elliot agrees to work on a project for Fern and the Spearman Foundation, things get heated and complicated between them. Feelings begin to surface and develop. Blazing, steamy and enticing moments are shared between the sheets; created by their magnetic connection and sizzling chemistry. Throughout all of this Elliot has yet to reveal to Fern who he truly is. Learning to work together strengthens both Elliot and Fern as they develop feelings for one another.

Their journey is a wonderful blend of emotions, swoon worthy moments and passion. The emotional, magnetic, and sizzling chemistry between them is perfect. You can’t help but cheer Eliot and Fern on, hoping they can overcome their pasts and accept their feelings were real and achieving a happy ending; one that they definitely deserve. The only problem I had with this story is not having read the first two books in this series which might have been helpful as I was getting confused with who belonged to which family, as well as family dynamics. I highly recommend Along Came You to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.
