Dare Me by Samantha Chase - New Series

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–
Dare Me, by Samantha Chase, book one in her new The Donovans series, moves her readers to a new setting, Laurel Bay, not far from Magnolia Sound, another small town, and a large, rambunctious family. The Donovan’s have five grown children, own a pub are fun loving, traditional and over the top, in each other’s business.

The queen of truth or dare meets the marine on his last year in the military. Arianna Donovan and Will Jameson met a year ago, on a dare from her friends the day before she traveled home. It was their most memorable day ever and twenty-four hours they would always remember. Fate happens once again when they are on the same flight from San Francisco to Atlanta, but when Will realized Arianna was his best friend’s little sister he thought it best not to contact here when he reached home; causing them to lose their connection. Arianna thought after a year had passed that she had moved on. However, fate happens again when her oldest brother brought his best friend to a family dinner, when their connection started to spark once again. The title of the book ties into Arianna asking truth or dare questions of Will; usually asking about his feelings or daring him to kiss her. The Donovan family is overbearing with their constant interference, overprotective older brothers, a mother who constantly infers she knows best, wanting her daughters married and settled. Unfortunately for Arianna everyone thinks Will would be perfect for Arianna’s older, more age appropriate, sister, Ryleigh.  Ryleigh knows of the past and present romance between Arianna and Will and agrees to let the family think she’s the one dating Will. The challenges and secrets keep increasing, the meddling doesn’t stop, and emotions run high, knowing that it eventually is going to blow up when the family learns the truth.

Filled with magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, supportive and endearing secondary characters, an overbearing family, this was another amazing story by Ms. Chase, who wrote a gentle but passionate head-over-heels, never stopped loving, second chance and brother’s best friend romance. I highly recommend Dare Me to other readers.
