Wild Love by Lea Coll
πππππ/5
Wild Love by Lea Coll, book one in the Wilde Brothers series, is an emotional, gripping, heartwarming, sizzling brother’s best friend story, that is a great series starter. Elijah Wilde is the oldest of the Wilde brothers and runs their family resort in Telluride, Colorado. Scarlett is a free spirit who comes and goes as she likes never concerning herself with the feelings of those that she leaves behind. As a traveling actress she satisfies her craving for excitement and travel, seeing the country all while getting paid. The trips home have lessened over time as her parents and others from home pressure her to stay rather than to go and fulfill her desire to travel. Over time she has convinced herself that it didn’t matter that she was gone and her family and friends didn’t understand or miss her. Only this time, her visit home is different, as she doesn’t have a job to return to.
Elijah
is afraid that his life is becoming stale after having taken over running the
resort and absolutely loves it. He loves his life in Telluride but has begun to
realize that life has become predictable and a bit stale. Scarlett is a breath
of fresh air for him, reminding him of adventure and excitement and how it’s
been missing from his life, now as an adult. The more time they spend
together, Scarlett’s urge to leave lessens and her feelings for Eli grow.
With sizzling chemistry, magnetic attraction, and an undeniable connection,
they begin a fling; which they keep a secret, so as not having to explain
anything to the overprotective Chance. Other than the secret relationship, they
seem to bring out the best in one another and truly help the other become the
best version of themselves.
This was a wonderful story with Scarlett discovering
what she really wants out of her life and where she wants to be, Eli figuring
things out, along with the introduction of many new characters to get to know. Scarlett’s
friends were very supportive trying to get her to see how much they mean to her
without holding her back. It was also fun reconnecting with old friends. This
is a great story of friendship, family and love. I'm really looking
forward to watching the Wilde brothers fall in love, one by one.
