For the Days We Can't Forget by Elle P. Golden, book two in the Protection series, is a wonderful story filled with an age-gap, action, suspense, drama, family, and sizzle. While you do not need to read the first book, For the Chances We Take, I highly recommend reading it for additional context. This is Danny and Lisa’s instant attraction, slow burn, roller coaster love story.

Lisa (Lissie) Specter, 24, returns to town because of her father's health issues, and looking for closeness with her family. Needing to financially help her dad, she takes a job as a nanny to Sophia “Fee,” the daughter of Daniel “Danny” Delgado. Danny, a protective and caring figure, easily captures Lisa's heart along with his daughter's. Despite being attracted to Lisa, Danny, who is twelve years older, struggles with the age difference and the dangers that surround his job; including his ex-wife and a war against a drug and human trafficking cartel. As their relationship develops, Lisa becomes more than just a nanny to Danny and Sophia. There are both heartwarming and challenging moments that leave a lasting impact on the characters. This book is for people who enjoy suspenseful romance: a high-intensity story balanced with love and spice, and a lot of heart.
