Faked and Fumbled - Knoxville Coyotes Football series

 πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5

I loved Raia and Cohen in Faked and Fumbled by Gina Azzi, book one in her Knoxville Coyotes Football series; a brother’s best friend, friends to lovers story. Raia Callaway, is about to take the field to play a big soccer game when her longtime boyfriend decides to breaks up with her; destroying her concentration and resulting in her being seriously injured. Heartbroken and reeling from the betrayal and the hiccup in her career, Raia moves home to her parent’s house; needing to heal, regain her strength and rebuild her confidence.

Cohen Miller, her brother’s best friend and teammate on the Knoxville Coyotes football team, has been looking out for Raia for years. He is able to bring her back to the world of the living through positive messages and caring for her. Cohen is so patient when Raia struggles. He shows his affection for her by building her up and encouraging her; restoring her happiness. When it’s time for Raia to go on a ski trip with her friends, Raia asks Cohen to be her fake boyfriend to help her save face and prove that she’s over her ex. Their chemistry was off the chart and the banter between Raia and Cohen was so perfect. Raia’s ability to forgive was inspiring. I highly recommend Faked and Fumbled to other readers and look forward to what happens with the other players on the team.
