I loved reading Charlie and Kade’s amazing story in The Highlander's Kilted Bride by Vanessa Kelly, book six, and the last, in her Clan Kendrick series. Once childhood friends, Charlie and Kade haven’t seen each other in years. Charlotte “Charlie” Stewart is still the outspoken and feisty tomboy Kade remembers, but Kade has changed dramatically. No longer a sickly and weak child, Kade is now a strong and talented man and popular musician. He’s also a secret spy. When a precious and cursed heirloom goes missing, Kade is the perfect person to find it. But he has to find it quickly because others, who have been promised Charlie’s hand if they find it, are looking for it too. As hi-jinks ensue and her brother suffers a few accidents, Charlie and Kade work together to solve the mysteries of who is behind everything and capture the culprit all while exploring where their growing attraction is leading. This is a wonderfully written, fun love story with laugh out loud moments and a cast of characters that add to the enjoyment of the story. I highly recommend The Highlander's Holiday Kilted Bride to other readers.

Sage Nielsen and Jamie Hackett grew up next door to each other and when they were in high school and Sage had quite the crush on Jamie. Sage was a very shy, nerdy girl while Jamie was one of the few people consistently nice to her. Jamie was a popular jock who was on his way to a professional career in tennis.
