Loving You by Samantha Chase - New Series!!

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5

Loving You by Samantha Chase, book one in her new series: The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge, a Donovan of Laurel Bay spinoff; but with their cousins and Rowan's kids. Levi Donovan loves his life in the big city and is conquering the advertising world one ad campaign at a time. He's the best of the best and on top of his game until he gets fired from the big ad agency after getting caught in a scandal. With little choice left, Levi returns home to Sweetbriar Valley to lick his wounds and regroup. Although he had to return home with his tail between his legs, he is soon humbled by his circumstances, in the best way. Hard truths, overdue confessions, and the love of a good woman could have something to do with his transformation.

Jade Mackenzie, a single mom, has spent the last eight years ignoring gossip and disapproving glares. Jade has been raising her eight-year old son Silas along with the help of her parents. She's hoping to win the town people over with the opening of her bookstore and coffee shop, Books and Beans; putting it all on the line for this place. Some in town still look down on her courtesy of her exes’ mother; doing her best to sabotage and see Jade fail. When Levi arrives in town, his sister, Billie, convinces him to help Jade with the advertising at the store she bakes for. Hopefully, things will be looking up for Books & Beans, and Jade just might get her happily ever after.

This book was full of small town charm, with a great friendship, witty banter and two people undeniably attracted to each other. Jade is a great heroine, and a wonderful parent to her son, given some of the drama that surrounds his father. Levi comes off as immature and self centered at the beginning, but really seems to grow as the story progresses. It was wonderful to watch how Levi communicated with both Jade and his sisters, making sure that any problem was addressed before growing out of hand. Yes, he and his family still have some things left to work out, but they’ve made a great start.
I highly recommend Loving You to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
