A Cowgirl Finds Home by Carol Ross

A Cowgirl Finds Home by Carol Ross, book two in the Blackwell Belles series, a multi-author venture, with more books in the months ahead, is a sweet, opposite attracts, and heartwarming romance with a reminder of the importance of family. The second story of the Blackwell Belles and although this starts off, where the first left off, it can totally be read as a standalone.

Violet Blackwell was part of the Blackwell Belles, performing with her sisters until an accident occurred; breaking up the group and estranging the sisters. Settling in Texas, Violet works as the executive assistant to the owner of McCoy Oilfield Services. She is a workaholic: very rigid, detail oriented and focused on proving her worth. Garrett McCoy, nephew of the owner, is a free spirit who would rather own a ranch than work in the oil field, but he helps his uncle out from time to time getting new areas started. He and Violet have always butted heads and had misconceptions about each other, but there has been an underlying attraction that they both fought. With Violet's mother dating her boss and Garrett moving onto the farm where Violet lives to help her take care of the livestock, they can't avoid the spark of attraction; as they learn more about each other and their below the surface family dynamics and issues.  When ulterior motives and outside influences threaten their budding relationship they must decide if love is worth fighting for. This is a sweet, charming story of learning that appearances are not always what they seem and family will always be there to love and support you. I truly enjoy the Blackwell series and each branch of this amazingly complicated family brings more intrigue, family and love. I’m so excited to read the rest of this delightful and heartwarming series
