Only a Chance: A forbidden love, mistaken identity romance by Delancey Stewart

 πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5

I loved
Archie and Emily’s story in Only a Chance: A forbidden love, mistaken identity romance by Delancey Stewart, book five in the Kasper Ridge series, an emotional, heartwarming, charming, entertaining tale, filled with passion, sweetness, acceptance, and healing, that was difficult to put down.

This is the last in this series of a mountain resort where the military friends and family repaired it made it home.

Archie is a former military pilot whose career ended after an accident that caused the death of another pilot, his best friend; carrying the weight for the accident and the death. He and his sister Aubrey inherited an inn in the small town of Kasper Ridge, renovating it with their friends over the course of the series, along with searching for the “treasure” left by their great uncle. Emily is a freelance travel writer who desperately wants to take her career to the next level where she gets to travel the world and write about them. She traveled to Kasper Ridge to attend a writer’s conference and to write story about the resort and the treasure hunt. The problem is her brother, Jake, is the pilot who was killed in Archie’s accident and her family hates Archie; but if she wants a future with him she cannot share that part of her past. The conference as well as Emily and Archie’s accidental meeting was unexpected, and the more time they spend together working on the treasure hunt and the mystery, the more their connection grows. Exposing their secrets could derail all they have found together.

Ms. Stewart wrote an emotional, emotional, painful, healing, heartwarming romance that kept me turning the pages as I followed the twist and turns as Archie and Emily healed their hurts and damaged hearts as they discovered the treasure. She provided a tale rich with a little bit of everything: magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, the magic of friends, and a colorful cast of secondary characters; giving Archie and Emily a chance at love, happiness, and a future they both deserved.
