The Baby Blitz by Lex Martin

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Maggie and Olly were perfect for each other in The Baby Blitz by Lex Martin, book three in her Varsity Dads series, an enjoyable story, rich with emotion, filled with all the feels, and sweet yet sizzling in all the right places. These two just seem made for each other, though that doesn’t mean that everything was perfect; as there were numerous obstacles on their journey toward finding a happy life together.

Maggie grew up with Olly, her brother was his best friend and her friend too. And after overhearing something during their High School years, the friendship definitely ended; developing into one long series of pranks on each other. At Olly's sister’s wedding, he and Maggie agree to a truce which ends up with them spending some unexpected quality alone time together. Maggie gets pregnant and they work to make their relationship into something real. They go through so much miscommunication and between pregnancy hormones and Olly’s football schedule it really puts a strain on their relationship. They need to be able to overcome a lot of roadblocks to have a relationship even if it’s to just co-parent.

They are both struggling college students with family commitments who are just trying to make things work. Maggie, strong and independent, is trying to balance classes, a part-time job, and renovating a house she inherited. She is reluctant to ask for any help, especially from Olly. Olly is determined to fight for Maggie, proving that he really cares about her and the baby; maybe even love her.

Ms. Martin wrote an emotional, sweet, steamy, humorous and charming romance that is a must read.  She provided a tale filled with sizzling chemistry, strong attraction, clever banter, strong friends and supportive families, as Maggie and Olly find love and a future together with their baby. I highly recommend The Baby Blitz to other readers.
