The Cowboy's Forbidden Bride by Megan Crane
The Cowboy's Forbidden Bride by Megan Crane, book two
in her The Careys of Cowboy Point series, is an entertaining, tender, passionate
and moving story of a forbidden romance that I struggled to put down. Wilder Carey and his brothers were recently
told that their father Zeke is dying and wants grandkids before he’s gone.
Wilder, for being truly wild and a life filled with one night stands, has no
intentions of getting married to have kids. He loves his work on the ranch
mending fences taking care of animals and anything else that needs to be done. When
Wilder sees Cat Lisle in a less than reputable bar, he gets her out of there
immediately. Little did he know that that action would turned his life upside
down. There is something about Cat that has him coming back to her time and
again. Only, the Careys and the Lisles had been in an ongoing family feud for
generations; think “Hatfields and McCoys” level. Maybe if they kept their
relationship a secret they could continue this charade of a relationship. But
secrets don’t stay hidden for long in a small town. When Cat’s brothers
discover her with Wilder, things come to a head and he decides to marry her; as
getting married could possibly bring an end to the feud. This was an
entertaining story about family and finding love when least expected.
