Mine to Hold by Natasha Madison

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

I loved Shelby and Ace’s story in Mine to Hold by Natasha Madison, book two in her Southern Wedding series, a story of best friends finding passion and love when they least expect it. I was drawn in from the very beginning, unable to put it down, completely caught up in Ace and Shelby’s story; laughing with them, falling in love right alongside them, and anxious to see how it was all going to work out.

It is the day the day before Shelby’s wedding. Everything is going to according to plan, and her sisters/fellow event planners have everything completely under control. It’s the groom himself, James, who throws the wedding into chaos, when the night before the wedding he accidentally sends his bride-to-be a love letter that definitely wasn’t intended for her. Instead of calling off the wedding, Shelby lets everything appear to be normal, walking the altar, ready to say her vows to James. Instead, she reads the letter she received. The result is the groom, trying to blow it off. Shelby’s best friend, the best man, Ace, gets pulled into the drama when it is revealed that his girlfriend has been sleeping with the groom and the letter was for her.

Ace and Shelby have the best intentions deciding to go on the pre-planned honeymoon to Turks and Caicos. After the almost wedding disaster, those two are more than deserving of a relaxing getaway; even if they have to pretend to be newlyweds.  At first everything is good until sparks start igniting between Ace and Shelby as well as the passion and sizzling chemistry. Spending time together, partaking of fun and romantic activities, their attraction grow, creating an emotional connection; crossing friendship lines and getting caught up in real, loving feelings for each other.

Ms. Madison wrote a wonderful best friends-to-lovers and second chance at love romance that should not be missed.  There are a number of swoon worthy and romantic gestures in this story. Once again, the Baker family doesn’t disappoint with their shenanigans and hilarious banter. I highly recommend Mine to Hold to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
