Mine to Cherish by Natasha Madison,

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

I loved Clarabella and Luke’s story in Mine to Cherish by Natasha Madison, book three in her Southern Wedding series, a story of a runaway bride and friends getting a second chance at the passion and love when they least expect it. Once again, another sibling does not make it to the 'I do' portion of their wedding. Clarabella and Luke have a past that nobody knows about. She tried to move on, dating Edward, but when Luke comes back to town, she starts questioning all her feelings; wondering if she is making a mistake. Clarabella was struggling with her decision to get married and when her fiancΓ©'s secret comes knocking on her door and she learns Edward is not the man she thought he was. Clarabella is angrier about the whole thing with Edward than hurt. She needs time to process what has happened, and she doesn't want to deal with anyone, including her family; thereby becoming a runaway bride. In the course of running out of the venue, she finds her friend and one-night stand Luke; the one who said their time together was a mistake. Except to Clarabella, it was the best night of her life. When forced to choose between running away with someone you dislike because they hurt you or facing two hundred people who are about to find out why your fiancΓ© is a jerk and a cheat, running to a secluded cabin wins. A secluded cabin with only one bed. Luke had his reasons why he lied about their night together and once they finally talk about it at the cabin, they realize that the connection they had still exists and their chemistry sizzles and sparks, generating enough energy to keep the lights on in the cabin. Once they return, Clarabella isn’t sure she wants people to know about her and Luke and for some strange reason is protective of the reason she ran away. With the help of family and the magic of a small town, Luke is able to convince Clarabella that she deserves a happy future with him, the love of her life.

Ms. Madison wrote a wonderful best friends-to-lovers and second chance at love romance that should not be missed.  There are a number of swoon worthy and romantic gestures in this story. Once again, the Baker family doesn’t disappoint with their shenanigans and hilarious banter. I highly recommend Mine to Cherish to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.
