Last Chance Seduction by Carrie Ann Ryan
I loved Lexington
and Mercy's love story in Last Chance Seduction by Carrie Ann Ryan, book
nine in her Montgomery Ink Legacy series, is an amazing heartwarming, deeply emotional old-friends-to-lovers
story about love, loss, and the bravery it takes to embrace a second
chance.
Mercy
Caddel last saw saw Lexington Wilder-Montgomery two
years ago when her fiancΓ© left her at the altar and she learned how sick her
twin sister, Emily, really was. Now, Mercy is back in Colorado and her next
door neighbor has been renovating his house which is not good for her as an
audiobook narrator. When she’s out in the garden one morning, she’s even more
shocked to see her neighbor is Lex and he is just as shocked to see her; happy
to see her back and wanting to be her friend again. Mercy tries to keep her
distance but overhearing an ex give Lex a hard time about
a proposal that he wants to put at her family’s business, she tries to save him
by saying she’s his girlfriend. This means they will have to fake a
relationship to get the job, creating chaos, forced proximity, heated looks, and
feelings that were long hidden returning. What began as a fake relationship turns
into something so much more intense and emotional than either of them expected
as the lines to blur. When their deception is discovered, Lex
reacts badly; but when an unknown danger threatens Mercy, Lex will do all he
can to make it right with the woman he has always loved.
This
book is an emotional rollercoaster ride from start to finish, making me feel
every emotion possible: from grief to happiness, as I followed the story of
Mercy and Lexington. I loved that the Montgomery
clan is in full force in this sizzling second-chance romance, with unwavering
loyalty and love, strong familial bonds and lots of support for both Mercy and
Lex.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy
of this book.
