Trapped and Tackled by Gina Azzi
Leni and Talon find an unexpected connection in Trapped and Tackled by
Gina Azzi, book three in her Knoxville Coyotes Football series. This is an enjoyable, emotional and vulnerable coach’s daughter
football romance that was the perfect addition to the series. Trigger warning: domestic violence.
Leni Strauss, the daughter of the Knoxville Coyotes football coach, came
home after a horrible breakup. Finding someone new is the last thing on her
mind, especially one of her Dad’s players on the Knoxville Coyotes. From the
moment she met kicker Talon Miller, she immediately feels safe with him; something
she hasn’t felt in a long time. Talon holds Coach Strauss in high esteem and is
grateful for all the help he received, but there’s something about Leni that draws
him to her. As they spend time together, their chemistry is apparent and their connection
grows stronger.
Talon is kind, understanding, supportive,
loving, and protective; determined to make Leni feel safe with him. Leni,
although independent and intelligent, built a protective wall around herself after
the intimidating and controlling treatment by her ex. Leni is secretive about
what happened in New York, taking time and trust before opening up about her
abusive relationship Talon’s upbringing allowed fot him to more aware of what
happened in Leni’s past relationship and how important it was for him to make
sure she feels safe; which he does. Moving back home was exactly what Leni
needed; allowing her to rebuild her life and find herself again, with the
support of Talon. This story definitely touched my heart and I can’t wait for
the next one in this series.
