The Agent by Kimberly Kincaid
Kai and Camila burns up the pages with romance and
suspense in The Agent by Kimberly Kincaid, book six in The Intelligence Unit
series, an opposites attract story that takes the reader on an adrenaline filled roller coaster ride; making it so you will not want to
put the book down.
Kia Roman is brooding, sexy and cautious with his heart; an FBI agent
known as The Iceman because he freezes everyone out, especially anyone that he
might have “feelings” for. He keeps all his feelings locked down and holds
everyone at arms length. Camilla Garza is the baby of a large overprotective
nosy family and sister of Mateo; strong, independent and very brave with her
heart. She is currently a middle school guidance counselor and the opposite of
icy controlled Roman. A year ago Roman and Camilla connected at a trivia night
in a bar but the feelings it evoked were too much for Roman and he ran. Their
next interaction a year later is at a bank, right before the bank is robbed and
where Camila is the only one who gets a good look at one of the robbers, and as
the only witness who could potentially identify one; she now has a target on
her back. But Roman is determined to protect her no matter the cost, and the
pair end up in hiding until the threat is eliminated. Their “solidarity” over
their traumatic experience during the bank robbery reconnects and restarts their
journey to finding happiness together. Before they can get there, they will
have to deal with their personal baggage all the while trying to stay safe from
the diabolical criminals who are trying to kill Camilla.
Ms.
Kincaid is an expert at writing heart-pounding suspense and steamy romance
stories; keeping this reader mesmerized with the need to see how Kai, Camila
and the rest of the Intelligence Unit would stop these villains before they got
away with their crimes and if these two would find their happy ever after. This
story had everything, action, suspense, danger,
laughs, swoons, and spice, I am sorry this
is the last book in this series but excited for the new Remington Rescue Squad
series. I highly recommend The Agent to other
readers
