Mine to Take
I
loved Sophia and Matthew's amazing second chance
story in Mine
to Take by Natasha Madison, book five in
the Southern Wedding series. This is another sensational crossover only
this time between her hockey dynasty and the Southern Series, all within the Southern Wedding series; with two wonderful characters in a
swoony and emotional second-chance-romance.
Sofia Barnes just
started working with the Baker sisters at their wedding planning business, when
her very first client walks in it’s none other than Matthew Petrov; her first
love, and the man who shattered her heart. Sofia and Matthew fell in mad love
in college; they were together for two years, blissfully happy and planning
their life and future together, until it suddenly and brutally fell apart (no
cheating). In the two years since they’ve been apart, Sofia thought she had
moved on, but one look at Matthew, and she is flooded with all of those old
feelings.
Mathew has just been going through the motions; dedicated
to his hockey, coasting through life, and engaged, unsure if it’s right. Shocked
to see Sofia again, the face of the girl he loved and lost; something clicks
inside him, making him realize that she is what has been missing all along. He
does know he has to break off his engagement, as they are honestly mismatched
and far from right for each other. I mean, not only was she bossy, stubborn,
and determined, she didn’t like his family.
Matthew is
determined to show Sofia that she was always his one. Not only are Sofia’s
workmates all up in her business, but Matthew and Sofia’s families are both lovingly
intrusive. Not just their parents, but Uncle Matthew and Sofia’s grandpa Casey
are right in the middle of the action, coming out swinging in defense of their
kids.
Ms. Madison wrote a wonderful love story that
should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with all the feels, forgiveness,
sizzling chemistry, flawed characters, as well as a protective and
supportive family, helping Sophia and Matthew get that second chance
at a forever love. I highly recommend
Mine to Take and look forward to the next book in the series.
