Caught Up with the Captain by Kait Nolan
Caught Up with the Captain by Kait Nolan by Kait Nolan, book
five in her Bad Boy Bakers series, is a wonderful, heartwarming second chance story
featuring former Navy SEAL Captain Mitchell Greyson,
Grey, and Jonah’s mother, Rebecca Ferguson. Growing up together, they were the
best of friends, high school sweethearts, and first loves, until they wanted
different things from life. Now in their fifties, they are given a second
chance to rekindle that lost love.
Rebecca never forgot Grey, though she married their third musketeer
after Grey had left. Divorced, she stayed single, never forgetting the young
man who owned her heart but left her behind when he enlisted in the Navy. Grey never
forgot the gal he left behind despite the distance and demands of his job. Now
retired, Grey is determined to return to the small town he grew up in, create a
transition camp for soldiers, and reconnect with Rebecca. As Rebecca and Grey
reconnect, they have issues to resolve along with a major secret, that when revealed
did not surprise Grey, but upset more than a few people.
This was a lovely story about second chances for an older couple;
watching them get to know each other again. It was also a wonderful getting shown
how the earlier characters in this series, have settled and succeeded in their
new lives. It is the perfect conclusion to this much loved series. I highly recommend Caught Up with the Captain to other readers.
