The Rancher's Reunion by Lisa Childs
The Rancher's Reunion by Lisa Childs, the seventh
book on the Bachelor Cowboy Series, has Grandma Sadie and Lem finally tie the
knot. Sadie March Haven Lemmon's matchmaking continues and she has her sights
on Cash and Becca who are just friends, best friends. After learning that everything
he thought he knew about his father was lies, Cash Cassidy runs away from home,
believing there were too many secrets. Now a local veterinarian, he has
returned, realizing he was wrong to run away from his dad and brothers, hoping
they can find it in their hearts to forgive him. Cash is determined that there
will be no more lies or secrets in his life. When he comes home to Willow Creek
there’s his best friend, single mom, Becca Calder and her daughter Hope, who hold
his heart. Becca has a secret and is afraid Cash will never trust her again
when discovers it. Becca and Cash actually have feelings for each other, but
believe it is one-sided, and fear of rejection keeps each from sharing. A sweet
story that is heartwarming, yet heartbreaking and filled with lots of secrets
and suspense, it takes a leap of faith to find love, and so much more.
Although
I enjoyed the story, I struggled with Becca’s secret. In this day and age, it
was not as devastating as she made it out to believe. In fact, no one held it
against her once it came out. It also would have helped to have a family tree,
so new readers could follow who belonged to which family and how they were
related.
