Liar’s Point by Laura Griffin

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–/5

Liar’s Point by Laura Griffin, book five in the Texas Murder Files series, is an intriguing, fast-paced, edgy story that conveys danger from beginning to end, making it extremely hard to put down, in this police murder mystery and romance.

Detective Nicole Lawson takes center stage as she navigates the complexities of a murder investigation in the picturesque Lost Beach, Texas. She is investigating a body found on the beach that was staged to look like a suicide; except the medical examiner finds several clues pointing to homicide. The police chief assigns Emmet Davis as the lead on the case when Nicole feels she should have been given the lead. When a second person is found dead, no one seems to believe Nicole’s theory that they’re related.

As the team begins to investigate the homicide they soon realize they are behind before even getting started. Solid investigation tackles the many lies the police are told. It’s filled with evasiveness and a growing sense of urgency. The chemistry between Nicole and Emmet adds a layer of tension and passion to the story. As they delve into the deaths of two yoga instructors, the plot unfolds with gripping suspense, keeping me on the edge of my seat. Griffin's skillful blend of engaging characters and a well-crafted mystery makes Liar's Point a must-read for fans of the genre.
