The Bodyguard Situation by Lyra Parish
I loved Brody and Harper in The
Bodyguard Situation by Lyra Parish, book four in the Billionaire Situation
series, is a wonderful, heartbreaking yet heartwarming, emotional,
compassionate, sizzling love story with a dash of suspense. This
is a protection romance with action, tender moments and two people who were
always perfect for each other.
Brody Calloway, bodyguard for his cousins, is quite concerned when Billie,
asks him to protect her friend and business partner, Harper Alexander from
someone who is connected to them both. Harper, who has no problem taking care
of herself, doesn’t want any help, but this time she might not have a choice. Harper
thought she finally found the love of her life, but when she realizes that her
fiancé, Micah, is isolating her from everyone, she can no longer ignore the red
flags. The only one who can save her is Brody, her best friend’s cousin and the
man she has been infatuated with since she was a teen.
Brody is ready to swoop in, save his “little miss disaster” and keep her
safe, no matter what it takes; even if it means dealing with a stubborn Harper.
After he helps her escape to a secure place, in the Smoky Mountains, he starts
digging into Micah's past to uncover the truth and gather evidence against his
crimes. During all this, Harper and Brody finally get the chance to talk about their
feelings for each other; opening the door, allowing them to heal from the past
and explore the emotions they've both been holding back for so long.
There was so much love, compassion, and growth throughout The Boss
Situation. You'll feel every emotional twist and turn with these well-developed
characters. The slow burn between Harper and Brody is perfectly balanced with a
fast-paced plot full of suspense, mystery, and drama that will keep you turning
the pages. Plus, the witty banter among the characters will have you laughing
out loud at times. We get to see all the previous characters and a sneak peek
at who stars in the next book.
