The Friend Situation by Lyra Parish, book two in the Billionaire Situation series, is a wonderful, heartwarming, sweet, funny, spicy, and romantic friends to friends with benefits to fake relationship between Weston and Carlee.

 

Ever since Weston Calloway and Carlee Jolly joined forced and conspired to match-up Weston’s twin brother Easton with Carlee’s best friend Lexi, he has wanted her; his best friend and secret friend. Carlee, believing she is not good at relationships, is scarred after her heart was broken and afraid of being in love; running away from anything serious. These two have that special connection of understanding without words as the sizzling chemistry and magnetic attraction begin to spark and set their worlds aflame. When Weston's ex starts stirring up some major drama, Weston proposes to Carlee that she become his fake girlfriend and then his roommate after her apartment was broken into. Love was never in plans but fate has its own path as Carlee and Weston are soon to discover. Sometimes, the wrong time can be right, as Weston and Carlee discover.

I didn’t actually connect Carlee’s surname Jolly to the Very Merry series until they went to visit Carlee’s family and remembered all the wonderful characters from her previous books; in particular Mawmaw, the feisty grandmother and ruler of the clan.
