Deep End by Ali Hazelwood

I truly enjoyed reading Deep End by Ali Hazelwood, an amazing, wonderful, heartwarming, sizzling, kinky (with some BDSM) young adult college romance where both are collegiate athletes majoring in STEM areas. This story grabbed me from the first page, not letting go until I reached the end.

Scarlett Vandermeer enjoys her life at Stanford where she’s a collegiate diver. She loves her team and her coach, but is struggling with a mental block that is not only affecting her dives since her traumatic diving accident. Between diving and applying to med schools, Scarlett doesn’t have time for much else; least of all a relationship. Lukas Blomqvist thrives on control and discipline. Scarlett hasn’t shared more than a few words with him and couldn’t imagine having anything in common with the world champion. When Scarlett happens to run into Lukas and hear a well guarded secret she realizes they might have more things in common than she would have thought: things like their love of science, preparing for med school, and their shared tastes in the bedroom. What begins as a temporary relationship soon becomes something much, much more. Except their relationship involves and affects people they love and care about; making it not quite so cut and dry. They need to figure out a way to make their complicated relationship work without hurting others.

Lukas and Scarlett were able to connect with each other, especially how they feeling and thinking; Lukas’ ability to understand that Scarlett needed space to process her feelings and he listened to her needs. These two were perfect for each other; complementing each other s$xually, emotionally, understanding, trusting, and wanting to take care of each other. Hopefully, they would be able to overcome the obstacles they placed in front of themselves so that a future together is possible.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
