One Night Stand Ever After by Amanda Usem, book three in the Unforgettable Fire series, is a best friend’s little sister/forbidden romance. After spending years in New York, Anna, an impulsive and talented dancer, is saying farewell to her burlesque group. While she is up on the bar dancing and shimmying, in walks Max; an uptight wealthy business man, also Anna’s childhood crush and her brother’s best friend. As the sparks fly between them, Anna and Max end up having one night stand; with no promises, no strings attached and never expecting to see each other again. Fate has other ideas or maybe it’s their grandmothers, as they are each called back to their small hometown to help their respective grandmothers. Stuck in their hometown together, chaos, antics, and spice ensue as the chemistry sizzles and sparks, as bright as ever. Anna and Max definitely have some baggage to overcome as well as potential triggers that keep these two from trusting in love and each other. With small town charm and the meddling grandmothers, I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read.
