He Falls First by by Jill Shalvis, book one in the Colborn Brothers series, is a heartwarming, laugh out moments, found family, small town shenanigans, family drama reminding how important family really is, and where finding love might just be the key to finding yourself. Ryder and Penny are two people who have had missing or incompetent parents.  On the other hand, they never let anyone down and work hard to take care of their family members.

Ms. Shalvis excels when she writes a family series; delivering on heart, humor and honest emotion. The way she writes sibling relationships with their drama and their love for each other is charming, beautiful, and delightful; immediately drawing me in and making me invested in and caring cared about all of the characters and excited for their books. I’m can't wait to read about the rest of the Colburn family in the future.
