When firefighter Cord, aka Hollywood, volunteered for a bachelor charity auction, he had no idea he would be won by a grandmother who was about to change his life. It turns out she won him for her granddaughter. This meddling grandmother went through a lot of trouble to get this date set up. Lucy is a teacher and a single mother of an adorable little boy.

 

From the moment Lucy and Hollywood meet they share an instant connection, and it would not let them go. Neither was looking for love, but it found them, and wouldn't let them give up without a fight. Having children was not in Cord’s plans, so he’s not sure how to handle the fact when he learns Lucy is a mom. With advice from his squad mates, he just might be able to a handle a ready-made family; with Lucy and her son.

 

This was a fun, quick read, with wonderful characters, the residents of Huckleberry Creek, and everything in between. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
