Tracking Down the Lawman's Son by Delores Fossen, book three in the Saddle Ridge Justice series, is an action packed romantic suspense with more intrigue than romance; which kept me guessing who was behind the intrigue and why. Bree McCullough is in the emergency room when her former lover, Deputy Luca Vanetti, and her brother Slater arrive to find her being treated by Nathan, another ex-boyfriend. As they leave the hospital, she reveals that she was run off the road on her way to question someone about a murder. It appears someone is attempting to kill Bree, and now her family must protect her and her son Gabriel. The question arises making them wonder: is the attempt on her life connected to her father's murder or to the murder of another woman she was investigating. Luca and Bree, share a three- month old son and a have had a decade-long on and off affair, are now forced to unite until the situation is resolved.
