The Farmer’s Marriage Bargain by Heidi Main
💖💖💖💖/5
The Farmer’s Marriage Bargain by Heidi Main, book four in the Triple C Ranch series, is a heartwarming, marriage of convenience between a widow and her husband’s best friend. Emma is widowed with three-year old triplets and has a farm and store to run. Before her husband passed away, he asked his best friend, Carter, to help her. Carter has been supporting her and the kids as he could, but when Emma can no longer afford the medication for one of the triplets, Carter suggests that they enter into a marriage of convenience; as his insurance would cover the medication. Emma believes that she could never love anyone but her late husband, and after being hurt before Carter doesn’t want to fall in love again. Only the more time they spend together, the more their feelings for each other grow. Emma feels guilty about falling for Carter, while Carter thinks it’s wrong to fall for his best friend’s wife. It’s going to take some a deep conversation, honesty, and trust before these two overcome obstacles on the way to being a true family.
I enjoyed this story but as this was the first book in the series I’ve read, I
felt as if I’ve missed a few details that might have been explained in the
earlier books. Carter was amazing from the start, especially
as her husband. Their nervousness about their feelings felt real, and watching
their chemistry grow was so nice. There were many sweet moments in the story,
especially with Carter’s and Emma’s interactions with the triplets. It was fun
to watch this new little family come together.
