As Sophie is his sister’s best friend and business partner, she should be off limits. When Cameron pretends that Sophie is his fiancée to get rid of an old flame, he has no idea how he has complicated their lives. Sophie, owner of the town’s floral shop, is working herself to the bone. She has her shop, her events business with her best friend, and dealing with her step-mother’s constant demands. Sophie was one of the kindest, most loving, and giving persons around; so undeserving of the “Cinderella” treatment she was given. What follows was an entertaining, passionate journey as these two friends become lovers as they cross lines that were never meant to be crossed. Full of sweet love, just enough steam, Scottish accents, blacksmithing, British baking goodies and an influencer from Eden's Ridge, this story is a wonderful change of pace. I highly recommend Playboy in a Kilt to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.
