Tomorrow Starts Today by Jessica Redland
Tomorrow
Starts Today by Jessica Redland, book five in the Escape to the Lake series, is
a beautiful, emotional, heartwarming story about forgiveness, grief, loss,
healing, hope, friendships, family,
secrets, and unexpected love.
Five years after
losing her husband, Yvonne Kellerman is lonely, seldom seeing anyone other than
the cashier at the supermarket, her best friend and neighbor is moving away,
leaving her with just her parrot to talk to. She’s also turned away by her
older sister when she tries to reconnect. Deciding she needs to change up her
life, she discovers a flyer about a crafting club, she decides to join. Bringing
her patchwork quilts to work on, she quickly finds a group of like minded
people, who soon become friends for life. When the granddaughter of one of the
members introduced the club members to journaling and setting goals, Yvonne recognizes
that there are definitely things in her life that she desperately wants to
change: clear out her husband’s clothes, move to a house closer to town, stop
trying to connect with her older sister, and find love; and this might be the
right time to start. This has her reflecting on an old flame; the one that got
away.
Ms. Redland beautifully
created a story that that celebrates
resilience, friendship, and the belief that it’s never too late to begin again.
There are descriptions about crafting, relationships, families, pasts, futures.
The story of Yvonne’s relationship with Cliff is gradually revealed throughout
the story; with some genuine surprises along the way as more of her past is
finally revealed. Those twists and turns added to the story.
