Promise Me Please, Cowboy - Rodeo excitement, love and family.

Promise Me
Please, Cowboy by CJ Carmichael, book four in The 85th Copper Mountain Rodeo series, is an emotionally engaging, tender, and
moving small town story. Amy Arden left New York after a tragic accident, buying a bed and
breakfast in Marietta, Montana as a way to start over; although she does have a
secret reason. Taking over the beloved Bramble House might have taken Amy out
of her comfort zone, but she didn’t expect her staff to quit shortly after she arrived
and made a few suggestions about freshening up the place. With the rodeo coming
to town, it’s up to her to do all the jobs: reception, maintenance,
housekeeping, baking, bookkeeping, etc; as the b&b is full of an
interesting blend of characters.
Quiet loner rodeo cowboy Chet carries the weight of a terrible childhood
and even worse father on his shoulders. He is visiting Marietta to compete in
the Rodeo and to spend some time visiting his friend Sage Carrigan. Being forced to stay at the B&B and feeling out of
his element, Chet meets Amy, and the sparks fly between them. Between helping
her injured hand, to trying to help her with odd jobs around the place, Amy
tries to keep her distance; only there is a strong magnetic attraction,
bringing them together; losing any doubts they might have. Chet and Amy spend evenings
watching the beautiful sunsets together, sitting on the porch, talking over
their troubles. His abusive, poor excuse of a father shows up, and as usual he
wants something. Amy shares her secret
with him; a father she never knew might live nearby and she wonders how to meet
him.
I loved Amy and Chet’s story: a story so much more than just a romance; it
is about life, family and starting over. I enjoyed the rodeo scenes and Amy’s
journey to Marietta, learning to run the B&B, make new friends and meet
family she never thought she would get to know. Chet is an amazing man; kindhearted,
despite his rough childhood, and likes to help people. Together, they bring so
much to each other’s life. I highly recommend Promise Me Please, Cowboy to other readers, who loves cowboys, small town life and a good family drama.
