The Wanted One by Tawdra Kandle - A Marriage of Convenience
πππππ/5
The Wanted One by Tawdra Kandle, book twenty-five in the Love in a Small Town series, brings us back to Burton, GA, ash Lucie Robillard returns home to start a new life, wanting to open her own coffee bar and proving to herself that she doesn't need the family that never wanted her nor a life with her toxic ex. Wyatt Mayfield is a farmer and divorced single dad to his three-year-old daughter, Ruby; as her mother decided she didn't want to be tied down nor live on a farm. With his full-time nanny retiring and his ex-in-laws suing for custody, he needs to find someone immediately to step in to help. When their group of mutual friends decide that the perfect answer to Wyatt's need for help with Ruby is the same as the answer to Lucie's need for stability in order to secure funding for her business venture, they decide to accept the obvious solution and get married; as long as everyone agrees it's just a marriage of convenience.
Their
first interactions might have been less than promising, to say the least; but
it doesn't take long for the twists of life to intercede, bringing these two
together in the most unconventional of ways. Their journey together with its
unusual start isn’t going to be easy and, at times, gets downright bumpy, but
it’s certainly worth the effort both for Lucie and Wyatt. It also doesn’t take
long before Ruby to become attached to Lucie and vice versa. These three are
meant to be a family, but there are a lot of hiccups of misunderstanding along
the way for their happy-ever-after. This is marriage of convenience, small town
romance is filled with lots of heart, as you share
Lucie and Wyatt’s feelings of joy, pain, frustration, happiness, and most of
all, love from beginning to end. If you've read any
of the earlier books in this series, you don't want to miss this one; quite a
few of the previous couples are highlighted, giving further insights into their
own HEAs. I can’t wait to find out what happens when Lucie’s friend, Nash,
attends his high school reunion in Florida.
I voluntarily reviewed a
complimentary copy of this book.
