Fearless Heart by Brighton Walsh
I loved Ford and Quinn’s “temporary” marriage of convenience romance in Fearless Heart by Brighton Walsh, book three in the
Starlight Cove series, a wonderful story about not judging
others without knowing all the facts as well as how fine that line between hate
and love truly is.
After over a decade, Quinn Cartwright (Ford’s high school classmate and
constant competitor for everything) has returned to Starlight Cove and still
cannot stand the sight of Ford. He won Valedictorian over her in high school
and Quinn has never gotten over the college chances she lost due to that boy. Quinn
is now Doctor Quinn Cartwright and is determined to buy the current medical
practice from an arrogant, misogynistic male doctor. No matter how handsome and
charming Ford may be, Quinn is determined to avoid him at all costs. Ford
McKenzie, firefighter and well known playboy has had a crush on Quinn since
they were fifteen. He never could figure out why she avoided him. When Quinn arrives at the Bachelor Auction,
determined to make a donation she ends up winning a date with Ford. One date,
and through an honest discussion they both realize they help each other out by
getting married; a fake marriage for a few weeks. Only nothing is fake about
how Ford feels. As Ford learns about Quinn’s parents and upbringing, he is
determined to break through the walls she built to protect herself; lift her up
so she finally feels like she is worthy of love. The fact that Ford’s house has
only one bed, forces these two to confront their compatibility and the sizzling
chemistry sparking between them; possibly making this temporary marriage a
permanent one.
Add in all the crazy with Mabel and her gossip updates, with everyone
being up in everyone's business, the interactions between the Mackenzie
siblings and snippets of what is to come and you have an emotional, amazing,
burn the sheets, humorous romance that should not be missed. Remember, “No Take Backs.” I highly recommend Fearless
Heart to
other readers, and I look forward to Aiden's story.
I voluntarily reviewed
a complimentary copy of this book.
