Loathe to Love You

Image
💖💖💖💖 Loathe to Love You by Ali Hazelwood, is a collection of her STEMinist novellas featuring three best friends and the men they love to hate; well, not quite, really. All of the stories are smart and witty with a level of nerdiness and quirks that glows through each story. Each story was unique, but similar to the others, as well, especially since the ladies are all friends. Ms. Hazelwood wrote a wonderful collection of short stories that were enjoyable and should not be missed. She provided tales rich with emotions, intelligent but awkward characters, magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, wonderful and humorous conversations, and endearing characters giving three best friends and their men a chance for a forever love.  I highly recommend Loathe to Love You to other readers.   I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

The Setup by Jennifer Bernard

Image
💖💖💖💖💖 Jennifer Bernard created another amazing and delightful story with The Setup , book three in her Lake Bittersweet series. This is Gina Moretti and Kirk Williams’ love story; a unexpected love story with a return to Lake Bittersweet. Gina knows that she needs to move forward with her life and get over her holiday glumness; the lost Olympic dream and her ex-husband. The residents of the town of Lake Bittersweet are trying to help her find "the one" with this year's Gina-stakes. Kirk grew up in Lake Bittersweet, was best friends with Gina’s brother and hung-out at her home; but left town to get away from his father and never looked back. That is until his sister asks to meet her there. He figures it’s a great idea because it allows him to get away from his last heroic event, get some peace and quiet, and heal his broken leg. The first person he sees when he gets to Lake Bittersweet is Gina and she has grown into a woman, not at all like the little sister of his ...

A Wicked Game by Kate Bateman,

Image
💖💖💖💖💖 I enjoyed A Wicked Game by Kate Bateman, book three in her Ruthless Rivals series, which focuses on members of the Davies and Montgomery families and their ongoing love and hate saga. Captain Morgan Davies returns to London after a shipwreck and near death experience determined to win Harriet Montgomery. He and Harriet, his long-time adversary, made a bet of three kisses that he wouldn't return home safely and he’s ready to cash in. Convincing the infuriating woman he wants to marry her is going to be his greatest challenge yet. Harriet has also desired the rogue Captain, but feared publicly admitting it. She is secretly thrilled that he has returned and happy that he is calling in the debt of those three kisses as payment for his safe return; though she'd never admit it to him. The chemistry between Harriet and Morgan sizzles as the banter between them is playful. Ms. Bateman wrote a wonderful, amazing tale that captures you on page one, not letting go unt...

Made for Me by Natasha Madison

Image
💖💖💖💖💖 I loved Chase and Julia’s amazing friends-to-lovers sports romance in Made for Me by Natasha Madison, book one in her new series, Made For; a spin-off from the Only One series . Chase and Julia have known each other for years, as her twin Jillian, is married to Chase’s cousin Michael. Chase and Julia have been friends from the moment they met, but always were certain it could never be more. They have been dancing around their attraction for each other fearful of what could happen, as once they crossed that line, there was no going back. Chase bypassed a career in hockey, like most of the men in his family, becoming a doctor. For years he spent time with Doctors Without Borders and since returning he has joined his brother and cousins becoming a team doctor for their hockey team. Julia truly is a wonderful and caring person who goes above and beyond as a social worker. After a horrible night with one of her cases, Chase finds Julia in the ER where he‘s working a sh...

Mail Order Cowboy by Victoria James

Image
💖💖💖💖 Mail Order Cowboy by Victoria James, book three in her Wishing River series, is a heartwarming story about grief and grieving, but about kindness, forgiveness, the closeness of friends, the guilt and regret of keeping secrets that no one should have to bear, and lastly, it's about moving on. Hope Roberts lost her husband to cancer six years earlier and just inherited a broken down ranch from his grandparents. She's a naturopathic doctor, mom to 9-year-old Sadie, and has no clue about running a ranch. Dr. Dean Stanton has the perfect life on the outside; he is wealthy, a doctor, a successful rancher heir to a fortune, attractive, and charming. What others don't see is that he is slowly dying inside due to his relationship with his father; tense, and destructive making Dean feel lonely and unworthy.
