Her close knit family was broken into pieces three years ago and decides that for once in her life, she needs to let go and focus on herself. Genevieve decides to invest in a lodge with her sister in Lake in the Clouds, a small, quirky mountain town in Colorado. Her children are shocked to realize that she sold her house and most of her things to move and change her life. Genevieve and her sister, Helen, love the tiny mountain town and quickly became involved in the town’s activities. Joseph enlists his PA, Kayla, to help him find someone suitable before his mother starts trotting out women for him.  Kayla knows the perfect person and with the right incentive she knows her best friend and roommate Sutton is sure to agree. Lauren is tired of being a doormat for her husband Doug after thirty years of marriage. He relies on Lauren for everything. He has diabetes, heart problems, and is out of work. When Laurel receives a call that her husband Doug has been in a car accident, she realizes how much she hopes that he has died. Laurel starts to think about how her life would be if her husband Doug dies, or maybe is already deceased, she could collect his life insurance, get a dog, go out to eat with her mother, etc. Instead, his injuries are mild, but Laurel has been awakened to her feelings. Doug comes across as someone who is lazy and very dependent on her. He can’t do anything for himself and doesn’t want to change this.   💖💖💖💖💖 The Wishing Quilt by Jodi Thomas,  Lori Wilde,  and  Patience Griffin  is a lovely anthology of three wonderful stories each one revolving around quilting while finding love with a cowboy. Each story centers on each heroine needing a change, or shake-up, in their lives, helping them find what they were missing, not just the love of a good man, and setting them on a new path for their futures. The men they encounter, whether new or old, respected and fell in love with these ladies, providing exactly what they needed to become more confidence, secure, and to feel loved. I loved reading each of these sweet, cozy, small-town romances by three amazing authors who wrote wonderful stories for this anthology. Their stories brought the magic of quilting and how it leaves memories for future generations. I highly recommend the A Little Country Christmas anthology to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

  💖💖💖💖💖 I loved Micah and Ashley’s story in The Beachside Bed and Breakfast by Hope Ramsey, book five in the Moonlight Bay series, is a heartwarming, feel good story with a theme of overcoming the past and moving forward. In a small coastal town in North Carolina a lot is going on; there is gossip, family drama on many fronts and good neighbors trying to lend a hand.   Ashley Scott has no time for romance. She is grieving the loss of her army husband, caring for her eleven-year-old son, Jackie, and running her bed and breakfast. Her friendship with Rev. Micah St. Pierre is beginning to feel like more. Micah is her church's pastor, single, and wants to get married; but is not allowed to date anyone in his congregation. After dating a local woman who doesn't attend his church, he decided to pop the question, although he doesn’t love her. She says no, in front of most of the town; embarrassing him. Noah and Mia have been best friends since they were seven. Each is deeply attracted to the other, but neither has ever acted on those feelings. When Mia gets the opportunity to go back to school to pursue the career of her dreams but needs her job's medical insurance, because of kidney disease, Noah proposes that the two get married. As Mia and Noah spend more time together, live under the same roof and display public signs of affection, they have a harder time hiding their feelings and start to see what was there all along.
