Each book in this series has been working towards Gia Giovanni and Silas Sharpe's story and it definitely did not disappoint. Gia and Silas have been in each other’s lives for many years as Silas is best friends with Gia’s brothers. Gia never realized that Silas was attracted to her, drawn by her strength and ambition. He wouldn’t let on because she is his best friend’s sister. All this “rivals” between them was more in Gia’s mind than his, causing her to have a love-hate relationship with Silas; avoiding him as much as possible. When Gia attends a wedding at his resort, Silas finally has the opportunity to get her alone. Alone together these two have such strong chemistry, setting off fireworks and setting the sheets aflame. An exceptional story with lots of twists and turns, and a few red herrings, in this police murder mystery and romance.   Rowan Healy is a forensic genealogist who is burned out after helping investigators track down criminals by using DNA analysis and tracing family trees of criminals. This became quite stressful so she is now trying to focus on helping adoptees find their biological parents. Jack Bruner is an Austin Detective trying to catch the elusive West Campus Rapist, and contacts Rowan seeking her assistance in tracking down this elusive criminal before he finds a new victim. As Rowan and Jack work together on this case, the chemistry between them sizzles and sparks as they fight their attraction as neither wants to pursue more, for their own secret reasons; except, they just may be fighting ...

💖💖💖💖 /5 The Nurse's Holiday Swap by Ann McIntosh, book one in the Boston Christmas Miracles series, is sweet tale with a nurse and doctor who shouldn't fall in love. Dr. Javi Pascal is pansexual, single, and divorced father to Mabel. He was married to another man and is the head of pediatrics at a Boston hospital. Nurse Ailani Kekoa, from Molokai, is in Boston for three months on a nurse swap. This smart and very capable nurse is there to spread her wings and stretch her abilities, not look for a fling. These two walk the fine line between professionalism and their attraction and need to figure out their futures before Ailani is set to return home.  I recommend The Nurse's Holiday Swap to other readers .   I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

In all, with just the right amount of friendships, relationships, and reunions, this was a fun holiday rom-com with a lot of heart and turmoil mixed in that I highly recommend to other readers.   I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Everyone has secrets, but for some people, their job is a secret, and with that comes issues for family and loved ones. An undercover CIA agent, protective and loving of her family, agent goes home to try to break up her sister's impending wedding to a secret criminal mastermind. Chaos, shenanigans, and mayhem are definitely not far behind. Getting through that disaster without alienating her family is going to be a huge hurdle.
